Slick Shoes - Wake Up Screaming

I have read online that if you are new to the band Slick Shoes this is not the best album to start out with. Only for "hardcore fans." Some say they prefer Burn Out or at least Far From Nowhere.

Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave

cover

Fall Out Boy's debut full length album "Take This To Your Grave" is just amazing. Patrick's voice is amazing, something Ilook for in a band. The guitar parts are awesome, kind of poppy, and they keep you moving. Each song is a sing along. Some highlights include "Homesick At Space Camp" "Calm Before The Storm" and "Tell That Mick..."

"I saw Fallout Boy when I went to the Mest and Matchbook concert in Utah. Fallout Boy was the opening band and to my surprise they were very good. I then bought the cd the next day and have been listening to it almost every day since the day I bought it. Every song is good and very catchy. Patricks voice is very clear in all the songs and their guitar riffs and drum beats make the music even more fun to listen to. If you like Taking Back Sunday, NFG, and Saves the Day, you will most likely take a liking to Fall out boy." - Amazon.com

"Taking Back Sunday draws forth images of what would be born of a marriage between Thursday and Saves The Day. The songs feature passionate, heartfelt lyrics that any listener easily identifies with. In December 2001, Victory Records signed Taking Back Sunday and put them in the skillful hands of producer Sal Villanueva and engineer Tim Gilles (Thursday's 'Full Collapse'). The result is a beautiful blend of passion, emotion and sincerity that is unrivaled in the budding emo-rock scene today. "Tell All Your Friends" is truly destined to be one of the breakout albums of 2002." - Amazon.com

TAKING BACK SUNDAY is the highest selling band in the history of Victory Records, and their debut album, Tell All Your Friends, spent two years on the Billboard New Artist Chart and will be certified gold in August. "This Photograph is Proof" is featured on the upcoming SPIDER MAN 2 Soundtrack.

Taking Back Sunday was a punk for life project by Eddie Reyes back in 1999. Eddie quickly found three friends nearby with a shared musical vision and recruited one from a little further away (current vocalist Adam Lazzara originally moved to NYC from High Point, North Carolina) to play bass. Victory Records quickly signed Taking back Sunday after their first demo and put them in a studio with Sal Villanueva of Thursday fame running drills. haring the stage with Boxcar Racer, The Used, Jimmy Eat World, New Found Glory quickly followed and the band saw less and less of home and more and more fans dedicated to the catchy yet meaningful songwriting layered over a unique blend of rock's best attributes.

Label: Tooth & Nail Records

"This was the last CD that featured Jackson on guitars. With two guitars you get tons of awesome riffs and cool backup melodies. Noteable tracks? Parting Ways, Silence (hidden track) and For Better Or For Worse. If you are telling yourself "they are christian so they can't be any good" you are dead wrong. While some of the songs are a bit repetitive and Ryan's vocals are unusally annoying at times, I still enjoy "Burn Out," by Tooth and Nail vets Slick Shoes. A lot of fast energetic songs. I didn't really care for a couple of the songs like "Learn To Unlearn" or "When Does It End?". Couldn't really get into them. But the rest rock. However, if you are convinced you are a Slick Shoes fan, the cost of "Burn Out" is worth it just for "For Better, For Worse", "Fool Me No More," "Fulfilling", "When Does it End," and the hidden track." - Amazon.com
