Ultima Online Quest Blog

I have been playing Ultima Online for awhile now and have decided to record my quests and journeys into a blog instead of the books and journals I carry with me during my quests. Instead of them being locked away in my home on Felucca, I can post them here for everyone online to read, as well as see pictures from my adventures in Ultima.

Ultima Online 7th Anniversary Edition is finally out! Grabs yours now!

Died In Deceit

Tonight I died at the hand of a Mummy. Actually I was being double teamed. Had to run around the entire snow-sovered Island and ended up being rezzed by a traveling gypsy caravan.

7th Anniversary gift code were sent out, and I chose the Holy Sword - which is what I was testing out it's Undead Slayer stats on Mummies, but due to lag I died.

Moonlight Casino For Drinks & Dice

I rode into Jhelom, under the cover of night. It was a long ride from Minoc and I hadn't eaten for days. I was holding a torch, soaking wet, and I needed to smoke.

I held my torch high as I rode up to Bishop the Tinker to grab a sextant.

My destination?

$Moonlight Casino$
Shard/Facet/Sextant Coordinates: Atlantic, Trammel, 86º 18' N, 33º 28' E

I gated to Minoc and rode hardthrough the night storm and went as far as I could for the night. I stopped for rest at the tower-triple crossroad front where the three roads meet and a gypsy cravan had taken camp for the night. I decided to stop and have some ale as I healed the wounds I got from a band of wandering thieves hiding in the storm. I was ambushed and cornered, five of them attacked at once and I was not holding a weapon. I kept riding and stopped at the crossroads for a break.

Coordinates for crossroads: 71º 48' N, 51º 45' E

Well, Upon finding it, it wasn't open at the time but I did stay for a few ales and a quite a few smokes while the rain storm pounded throughout the night.

Eldador & The Pink Dresses

After hearing of the appearance of mysterious pink dresses in Eldador I decided to take a trip to Eldador myself on a hunting trip through the thick forests surroung the dungeon Wrong. It has been awhile since I visited the Land of The Elves.

I awoke in the Twin Oaks Tavern in Ilshenar after a few nights of drinking in the magical lakeside pub and enjoying some rest after the massive Battle of Magincia. I quickly packed my bags and hopped on my trusted stallion and dug around in my green bag to pull out my recall rune for the horrible place known as the dungeon Wrong. I finished off my morning muffins and sausage and recalled to Wrong.

Upon recall I immediately began my journey following the dark path away from the dungeon and rode off into the night quickly down the trail leading into the ancient Elven forests of Eldador. A tranquil and peaceful place, but not with out it's dangers as most lands do. The forests are bordered by mountains and the sea. To the Elves, this is a holy place.

I darted quickly through the first wall of forest and quickened my pace as I began to hear the waves of the sea crashing against the shores. I knew to ride straight ahead from the exit of the dungeon pass and I would reach one of the main buildings of Eldador, what it known as Yanna en Namo.

Once there I turned my horse North East and made my way for the narrow pass before Eldamar, and onto Minas en Tel Sefu. Having had plenty of rest, my horse rode hard and made my journey with ease. I turned more north and slowed my pace down as I started to take note of some houses along the shore near Varar en Eldador. And to my surprise I came across the most unexpected thing, one of the pink dresses I had been hearing about even as far as Skara Brae!

I couldn't believe I had came upon one so quickly, let along at all! Here is a screenshot of the house and the dress on it's door step.

Having heard the rumors and warnings not to touch them if spotted, I also knew to not stick around since they are still looking for who is responsible for this mysterious "pink dress" phenomenon.

I did not disturb the scene and continued on my journey North to the dungeon Ice.

Twin Oaks Tavern In Ilshenar

After fighting plenty of black solens near Wind tonight I found myself saving a maiden from five criminals in Ilshenar while trying to get away from killing I found myself yet again covered in blood.

I entered Ilshenar at the Sacrifice moongate and ventured South West. Near the edge of the cliffs I came across five criminals and vagrants holding a female captive, I killed them all and freed her. Then I travelled North East on the winding path past the Fairy Forest and I then found myself at the Twin Oaks Tavern. I had been here before on a journey but had never stopped to stay long.

The place was empty but very cozy. With Fairies guarding the fields and forests around, it's a safe spot for a night of relaxing and sipping. With no one around, I sat next to the fireplace and bear mat in a throne with re velvet backing and sipped an ale and fed my horse after days of fighting in the Magincia Battle I finally found a place to sit and gather my thoughts and prepare for what quests lie ahead.

The Battle Of Magincia

After the Great Battle of Magincia, I have decided to make an online blog of my Ultima Quests on the Pacific Shard.

Here is the tale as it was written in my backpack journal as we fought:

The Magincia Battle of the Undead has raged on for days now. I have taken part in long, hard days of battling Ancient Lichs, Lich Lords, and countless hordes of the Undead and protecting unsuspecting wanderering travellers and slaying Lich Lords and Ancient Liches with the company of many.

I have even seen Sarlock Longbow of The Elves grabbing loot of of an Ancient Liche he killed as I ran by healing myself after engaging one too many Rotting Corpses. We tried to corner and close exits of the main streets near the main square and tried to hold back the hordes of Undead spawning along the Magincia shore. They came in obscene numbers and the spawns were heavy.

A day of bloody memories.

We met at the Shattered Skull in Skara Brae as asked, a Sosarian Secret Council Meeting called by Sarlock Longbow to discuss the oncoming threat of Mercaerin and the Undead War in Magincia. We crowded the tavern and drank many ales waiting for any word. We were gated to a location and given brief history of the mercaerin by Zed, he spoke of their history and how the mercaerin were once powerful Paladins who have found a dark path. He prepared and motivated us for battle and the death that lie ahead for so many in Magincia. Sarlock told us of the importance of our gathering and that the turn out was goo for our realm. He also told us while Magincia may be the only city under siege right now, the constant swarms of the undead would surely make way and spread to other cities. From Trinsic to Skara Brae, and Vesper. Horrifying tales of death and destruction. We vowed they would never do so aloud!

With the aid of Lazarus and Chosen we again slayed beast after beast in bloody battles on the shores of Magincia, after what feels like the 4th Day of Blood. There are still streets filled with Ancient Liches, Skeletal Knights and Mages galore! A great night for beer and blood!

Random entry: Today I was feeding my horse near the bank in Skara Brae after some rest when Kalis Sevryn appeared announcing news of a call to the Royal Guard! After days of fighting in maginciaI hoped the Undead and the Mercaerins had not started their assault on the beloved Skara Brae so soon, and alongside the Battle of Magincia.

People poured into the Skara Brae main area. Kalis mentioned that Magincia was now under a more fierce attack than ever. The Dark Fathers and 10 times the amount of hordes were spawning in the streets of Magincia.

He said even corpses were exploding and there were piles of corpses like never before.

He urged us to make our way to Magincia as fast as we could.
A call had been put out to all cities for aid and a call to Battle. Some recalled but most of us standing near Kalis darted for the Skara Brae moongate to get to Magincia. I was one of the first from Skara brae out of the moongate in Magincia and helped lead them as a young warrior screamed "Where to again?" as I gated, I cried out "Magincia!"

As I exited I could see dozens of warriors forming a line to sweep into the city.

Mages and warriors, bringing Dragons and mounted on Swamp Dragons piled out of the moongate and started to walk across the jungle surrounding the entrance into Magincia. We walked through the much and Serpents and formed a solid line to begin our assault on the Undead Vermin from the West to East.

We came to the edge of the jungle brush and immediately saw multiple Bone Daemons writhing in the city. They were lining up alongside Ancient Lichs and the Dark Father Azazel leading dozens of Skeletal Knights, Rotting Corpses, Lich Lords, and other unspeakable foe such as the Tentacles of The Harrower.

The Battle raged on with many deaths, the City was now a field of slaughter, blood covered the streets and was everywhere. Corpses piled upon corpses filling the streets, with blood forming pools as the dead warriors thrown aside by the might of the Dark Fathers breathed their last breath as Mages fought on for their city one last night. Among the Dark Fathers lay following Maliel, Kaltivel, Baratoz, and Anshu forming a dark cloud that rose over the city and let us know how dark these times really are.

We fought long and hard, and took back the city. Afterwards, we swept the city one last time killing off the remaining Ancient Liches as we formed a swarm of power and ran around the island clearing our streets. Kalis informed us we had indeed fought them off and had taken our city back. We sat and the lucky showed off their loot. The Mercaerin Cloak was exceptionally nice.

After many deaths we smiled and drank ale once again, for the Battle of Magincia was now over.
